New beginnings!

#20BOS26

It’s that time of year again and 20 Books of Summer is just around the corner, hosted by Annabel at Annabookbel.

Last year Cathy @746books passed on the challenge hosting duties to Annabel at AnnaBookBel and Emma at Words and Peace.

This year Annabel is hosting alone, with brand new graphics and a new hashtag #20BOS26 so thanks to her for taking this on. I’m sure it will be another great summer (or winter for those ‘down under’) of reading.

My  #20BOS26 list

This remains the easygoing challenge that it has always been and so, in no particular order, here is my list.

Books can be swapped out by another book if wanted/needed except for those with an asterisk (*) which are being read as part of the book club, a blog tour or publisher request (date indicated were possible). If a book counts toward another challenge then all the better and several of these (**) count to my Classic Club challenge.

Whilst I have listed 20 books I may decide to read just 15 or 10 which is perfectly acceptable. I’ll be happy to read any 10 of these books between June and August and should I read more that will be great.

What do you think of my list? Are you joining in with #20BOS26? Let me know in the comments and if you are joining in pop a link to your list there I love to see what you’re going to be reading.

  1. I have The Day of the Triffids on my Classics Club list, but it was not my spin choice. Still, I’m eager to read it. Maybe this summer!

    1. Thanks! I’m trying to get back on track with my Classic Club list, which I am lagging a bit behind on, whilst fulfilling my commitments (book club, tours etc) and continuing with the odd series I read/my Renard book subscription also needs my attention! So many books, so little time but I am looking forward to reading them, thanks 🤩

  3. Of your pile I’ve read and enjoyed Hamnet and Black Narcissus. I look forward to hearing what you think of the Allingham as I have it in the 746.

    1. Thanks, Cathy, so glad 20books is continuing you always did such a great job it’s great that it’s carrying on.

I’m looking forward to reading the Allingham. I don’t recall ever having read any of books before but only hear good things about them so hopefully it’ll be a good read. I’ve had Hamnet for a while so it’s about time I got to it! Black Narcissus I know from the film so it’ll be interesting reading, I’ve read Rumer Godden’s In This House of Brede and enjoyed it so hopefully BN will be good too. Janet
