It’s March!

“…March will be a month to just read what I want, when I want as long as the author is Irish! I invite you to do the same…”

Cathy @ 746books

Once again we have arrived at March and Reading Ireland Month. Cathy has been hosting this event for 9 years and doing a fantastic job of it. It’s a very relaxed challenge with no targets this year just simply to read Irish authors. There are plenty of great options on Cathy’s blog so do take a look for lots of inspiration.

What am I reading?

I have a growing TBR of Irish writers that I have heard about through previous Reading Ireland Months, on Cathy’s social media, read about on blogs, SM etc or because I have read previous books.

I’m not just reading Irish authors as I have The Virtual Crime Book Club on 10 March and one or two other commitments (book and otherwise) which will be happening.

I’m listing several books but I’m probably just going to read one or, if I’m lucky, two.

So, in no particular order, here’s a list of possibilities: –

Walk the Blue Fields by Clare Keegan

The Alternatives by Caoilinn Hughes

The Killing Sense by Sam Blake

The Wren, The Wren by Anne Enright

This train is for by Bernie McGill

Well it’s not a comprehensive list but it’s a pretty good one and I’m looking forward to reading at least one this March.

Are you joining in? Don’t forget to use the hashtag for this year and/or Cathy’s handle.

    1. I believe I heard about ‘This train is for’ in a response you made to my post on listening to ‘Waiting for Joseph’ in a RIM a couple of years ago. Not so s long ago I picked up a copy and I’m looking forward to reading it, so thanks for the recommendation. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it!
