A Readers Musings and Reviews
My List
This years #20BooksOfSummer23 is hosted by Cathy at 746books. Cathy from 746Books is the mastermind as well as host behind this annual event. It’s optional to pick 10, 15 or 20 books. It runs from 1 June to 1 September and it’s a very easy going challenge which is why I like it so much.
My challenge
I’m initially going for ten books but have added a supplementary list of another 20 and have plenty more for swapping out if needed or if I am able to read more books.
I am a member of a book club and as titles are voted on monthly I don’t know what they are at the moment and so I will swop in those that I do. Any blog tour books that I undertake will be added or swapped in.
Ten books means 3 or 4 books a month but if I read a book a week it is possible I might manage 12 books over the period so 15 may be the final count if I get into a reading stride. I would have to read seven books a month to manage twenty which I think may be too much this time but that’s ok there’s never any pressure and that’s why I always like to join this challenge.
So to the list! I’ve listed many more than I anticipate reading but being tied down to a specific book, unless it’s a blog tour (book 3 and book 9) is not something I would do. So, in no particular order, here’s the not so definitive list.
The List

2. A Change of Circumstance by Susan Hill
3. The Pawnshop of Stolen Dreams by Victoria Williamson (BlogTour)

I love how you’ve given yourself a lot of options. Good strategy! Good luck and happy reading.

Thanks, Cathy, looking forward to it. Enjoy it yourself as well – sometimes difficult with the role of host too I dare say. 😊

I love your caution and potential swaps – very wise indeed!

Thank you, MarinaSofia, somehow I can commit to reading for a specific date on blog tours but otherwise I like to keep my choices open and sit down with what takes me at that time. I’ve listed lots of Crime Fiction from my (ever increasing!) TBR which is my go to genre so I’m hoping that will help me hit at least 10 but several other non-CF books to mix it up if needed.
Your own list is an amazing one which I’m sure will be interesting to read about through the summer.
