This annual challenge is run by Cathy at 746 Books. This year it takes place between 1st June and 1st September 2020. I’ve joined for the past few years. Last year I managed all of my twenty. I’m hoping to do the same this year.
As Cathy explains, the rules are simple. Take the Books of Summer image, pick your own 10, 15 or 20 books you’d like to read and link back Cathy’s master post at 746 Books on 1st June 2020 so she knows you’re taking part. The rules are accommodating as well. Want to swap a book? Go ahead. Fancy changing your list half way through? By all means do. Deciding to drop your goal from 20 to 15? Or you’ve finished your list of 10 and want to go for 15? You’re fine to to do so.
In putting together my list, I decided to concentrate on three categories:
- Blog tour commitments I have from 1st June – 31 August
- Books on my NetGalley To Read shelf
- Books from my TBR pile

The first read for this years challenge will be The Case of the Demented Spiv, an Inspector Littlejohn Mystery, by George Bellairs.

The 20th and final read of this year’s challenge I have yet to decide upon. There’s a choice of two or three but the release dates may be moved so I’m just holding off on my final read. If necessary I will take something of my TBR list.
This years #20Booksofsummer20 is really helping me clear the decks and allow me to then get stuck into an ever growing TBR pile of both physical and electronic books. I’m really looking forward to it and then managing what I read with the TBR much more in mind.

You have a nice selection here; I, too, am intrigued with thrillers and mysteries, as well as getting some promised reviews off my list. Although, sometimes I just want to reach for what appeals.😉

I like thrillers/mysteries, too; it seems you have quite interesting ones on your list! I, too, look forward to knocking some titles off my TBR list, as well as promised reviews. And yet, parts of me just want to pick up what appeals at the moment!
