About

Hi!  I hope that you are enjoying this site.  I have been reading, it seems, since the day I breathed air.  It must, of course, have been at least a few years later! I love to read and I hope that the comments made on this blog will encourage you to read and enjoy reading.

If you have any comments about a book or post there is a comments box at the bottom of each post or you can always contact me via the contact page, I’d love to hear from you.

Bookshop.org

I have recently set up an affiliate page on bookshop.org it is in it’s very formative stages (I’m no tech wizard!) and very much a work in progress but you can find it here, I hope:

Janet – Love Books, Reads Books

I may even manage to put links on my posts eventually. There’s a small affiliate recompense which, if it ever amounts to anything, will be ploughed back into the cost of running my blog. I don’t really expect to get much/anything but it gives an alternative way to buy books and earns a little something for all those wonderful indie bookshops out there who bring us so much joy.

Find me

You can also find me on the following: Mastodon | Substack | Linktr.ee |Threads | Bluesky | Instagram | Facebook

However, these are not as well utilised at the moment as perhaps they should be so I’m really an infrequent user apart from X formerly Twitter and GoodRead but that may change over time as things do.

I am on NetGalley for the purpose of receiving books via BlogTours for review if the tour operator doesn’t send direct links to the book.

Reviews

I am currently not accepting any further books for review.

For any other reason please contact me via the contact page.  (Please: Do not request a review).

2023/24 I have reviewed a lot of ARC books and still have quite a few coming up which will keep me busy through 2024. They have come from publishers, direct or via events; from NetGalley and from Blog Tour organisers. I have very much enjoyed doing this. So a big ‘thank you’ to them all for those requests and for all those books. That said I am currently not accepting any further books, please do not feel offended it is simply that I do not have the capacity to do them.

Review Policy

I am currently not accepting any further review requests.

Thank you for considering LoveBooksReadBooks for reviewing your work.  If you are interested in a book being reviewed on my blog, whether you are an author or publisher. then please read the following review policy before contacting me below:

I accept physical books and, occasionally, eBooks for review consideration. When contacting me please provide as much information about the book as possible, including links to book websites, author website and where possible example chapters. If you have a date in mind for the review to be up, please let me know, that way I can give you a better idea of whether I am available to review the book in time. I may also accept guest posts and, very occasionally, giveaways in relation to a book.

Sending books for review consideration does not guarantee a review will be posted. If and when the review goes live I will email you a link, and X/tweet when the time allows me to. If I find I am unable to review your book I will contact you.

Blogging is a hobby so please be patient in waiting for a reply from me. However if you have not had a reply within 72 hours then unfortunately your book isn’t for me.

My preferred genre is crime fiction but, if the book sounds interesting, then I may review other genres. However, I do not accept erotica or horror.

If you are sending me information for any post, to avoid copyright issues, please ensure you hold the copyright to ALL images supplied or that they are free to access.

Please be aware that I am a UK blogger, and take into account the time difference when sending information for review.

Privacy Policy

Occasionally Janet – LoveBooksReadBooks will hold giveaways or competitions hosted by myself, on behalf of authors or from publishers. All information collected as entries in these competitions/giveaways will not be used, sold or passed on to anyone unless clearly stated for example mailing address sent to publisher for a book they are giving as a prize.

Giveaways are open for people aged 18 and over only.

All information collected will only be used for the giveaway and will be deleted once over.

To ensure your own safety please do not leave personal information in any comments section such as email address or mailing address.

Giveaway Policy

Before entering into any of my giveaways please read the terms and conditions.  This states whether the giveaway is international or not and how long it runs for.

All giveaways are for one entry per person. Multiple entries will be deleted and the person will be disqualified from entering the giveaway.

Giveaway accounts will also be disqualified and the entry from that person will be deleted. If your feed is full of giveaway entries when I check the entries then you will be disqualified from that and future giveaways.

You must use a valid email that you check regularly.  I am not responsible for chasing you and finding alternative emails or other methods to contact you.

All winners will have 48 hours to reply to my initial email or a new name will be chosen.

Once the prize has been sent off or information passed along to the appropriate person (publishers, authors) I will not be held responsible for what happens to it.
