15 books for summer 2021
I had hoped to read the full 20 books this summer but for a variety of reasons it wasn’t possible. It’s a shame but managing 15 books has been something of an achievement for me. Anyway, what did I actually read? You’ll find the full list below with, remarkably, links to all of the reviews as well!
Thanks
I’d just like to say thanks to Cathy at 746Books for hosting this lovely challenge once again this year. It’s always a pleasure to be a part of this even if I didn’t quite manage 20 books because this is such a relaxed challenge.
The books
The review links
- The Girl Who Died by Ragnar Jónasson
- Fragile by Sarah Hilary
- My Life and other Disasters by Josa Keyes
- Book club read: Secret Service by Tom Bradby
- What Goes Around: DI Alex Peachey: Book 1 by Ann Bloxwich**
- The Madness of Crowds by Louise Penny*
*In order to read this I needed to catch up with three or four others in this series. This wasn’t difficult as I love this series and can’t believe I’ve let it get away from me like this. Indeed I’m not sure I would have managed 15 books had I not been able to loose myself in Three Pines! They were:
Glass Houses | Kingdom of the Blind | A Better Man |All The Devils Are Here (All read)
- Hotel Cartenaga by Simone Buchholz
- Book club: The Nothing Man by Catherine Howard Ryan
- What They Knew by Marion Todd
- A Killing of Angels by Kate Rhodes
- Should We Fall Behind by Sharon Duggal
